Classes are offered for Kindergarten, 4, 3 and 2 ½ year old children. To be eligible for enrollment, a child must be the designated age as of September 1st.
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
Stay and Play: 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m.
Kindergarten Extended Activities: 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m.
Extended Day: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (A limited number of extended
day spaces are available for children who require all-day care.)
The Day School operates on the same holiday/teacher inservice schedule as the Garland Independent School District.
Our Day School program is planned to help each child develop self-confidence and independence as he/she experiences various learning situations through creative art, role playing, manipulative materials, music, large-muscle activities, science, and good literature. Emphasis is placed on the needs of each individual child.
The curriculums for all the classes are age-appropriate and theme-oriented.
Ballet and gymnastic classes are available at New World through Nancy Seale's Contempra Dance. The classes are offered during Stay and Play time for your convenience.
Teachers of the New World United Methodist Church Day School are selected primarily for their love and concern for children. They are qualified through education, training, experience, and specialized skills to work with preschool children.
The New World United Methodist Church Day School welcomes and accepts children of all races and creeds.
Day School parents are encouraged to be involved in our classroom activities, field trips, and the parent organization. Parents have the opportunity to assist with class projects, accompany field trips, plan seasonal parties, and assist the teacher with home projects. Our Parents' Organization offers opportunities for parent-education programs and family enrichment.
